OUR 44TH U.S. PRESIDENT

Back during 1955 while traveling through Alabama, I remember not being served at a restaurant because I sat down in the "colored section." I didn't agree with the segregation principle, put up a fuss and was promptly shown the door. In those days, no one would have thought it possible to ever have a black man for a president, but since then, attitudes for many have changed. Too bad the change hasn't embraced everyone in America.

President-elect Obama faces enormous challenges when he assumes office. Hopefully, the obstacles will not overwhelm him to a point where nothing is changed for the better.

too bad most people voted for him based on his color and not his abilities.

Wait and see, Anonymous. I think he will do a great job. EXTREEMLY better than the last one we had in there. Any one who gets in because of a dangling chad.... No real recommendation there as to skills. He had to have a Veep that knew what was going on in order to make himself look even a little bit good.
